Come to God just as you are The Lord Jesus Christ will clean you up and give you a new heart he will save you from your sins and from hell. You will be made a new creature in him and have eternal life!
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
1.) You must admit that you are guilty, and deserving of hell and the lake of fire for all eternity because of your sin and rebellion towards a thrice Holy God whom cannot have sin in his presence.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2.) God does not require "good works" or "good behavior" from you in order for you to go to Heaven these things can never get or help you get to Heaven. You cannot "clean yourself up" before you come to Him, just go to Him as you are only He can make you clean.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Psalm 14:3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
3.) God requires repentence, this means a change of mind. For the sinner it means a change of mind about your sin, yourself and the saviour knowing that the Lord Jesus Christ is God manisfest in the flesh and that only he can save you from an eternity in hell, that he alone, no works added, will give you eternal life if you believe on (trust) Him.
Mathew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
4.) You must believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and shed his precious blood to attone for your sins. He was buried and rose from the dead three days later, He is seated with God the Father in Heaven.
Mathew 26:28 For this is my blood of the newtestament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Acts 16:30-31 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,
John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
5.) Eternal life is a free gift so in order for you to have it you must receive it by faith. To receive Him go to God in prayer ask him to save your soul, to forgive you for your sins and renounce your sins. Pray to Him in your own words and do it in Jesus name when you are finished "in Jesus name I pray, Amen."
Psalm 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
